Maintaining your Heating and Cooling System
Maintaining your Furnace and Air Conditioner
Your heating, ventilation, and cooling system should be serviced at least twice per year, once in the spring and again in the fall. A poorly running HVAC system will affect your home comfort and increase your energy and fuel costs.
In order to keep your Furnace at its peak performance, Dynamic Climate Control Inc. offers maintenance plans which include a thorough cleaning and testing of the various components. We inspect your furnace’s heat exchanger, burners, pilot light and many other components. Most importantly, our technician will check for carbon monoxide levels, as carbon monoxide will threaten your family’s health and safety.
Air Conditioners typically draw more energy than any other appliance in your home. Maintaining your air conditioner will allow it to run more efficiently and will lower your operating costs. Your air conditioning unit has various components that require checks and tests. Our technician will check operating temperatures, safeties, controls and refrigerant levels.
You can also take some basic measures to prolong your heating and cooling system’s life. Your HVAC system’s performance may be affected by a dirty air filter which may result in reduced air flow and in turn reduced comfort levels throughout your home. The system will also work harder and run less efficiently, increasing wear and tear to the equipment. It is important to take the time to check your air filter every two months. Maintaining your heating and cooling equipment will not only help in reducing unnecessary costs, but may also prevent a breakdown during those cold winter or hot summer days.
